Care that fits how West Delhi lives
West Delhi is a city of family homes. Three generations often share a house or a lane, and a problem rarely stays with one person: a teenager's anxiety unsettles the parents, a father's drinking strains a marriage, a grandmother's sleepless nights wear out whoever looks after her.
NWNT's approach suits that. Each member of a family can take the screening separately, so everyone's view is heard, and the hub's psychologists and psychiatrists can meet a family together when that helps more than seeing one person alone.
What West Delhi families most often bring
These are common reasons people from the area reach out. None of them needs to become a crisis before it is worth talking about.
- Teenagers struggling with board exams, coaching schedules and screen time
- Marriage and in-law tensions in shared homes
- Stress in family businesses, where work and home never really separate
- An older parent who has become withdrawn, forgetful or unable to sleep
- Drinking or other substance use that the family has been hiding
Psychologist first, psychiatrist when needed
Many people from West Delhi start with a psychologist: structured talk therapy, CBT and practical coping skills. When the screening or the psychologist picks up signs that need a medical view, a psychiatrist at the same hub, under Dr. Sandeep Vohra, MBBS, MD (Psychiatry), steps in for diagnosis and medicine. You do not have to start again with a new clinic.
Getting to East Patel Nagar from West Delhi
East Patel Nagar sits where West and Central Delhi meet, so most of West Delhi is one metro line away. Patel Nagar and Shadipur stations are each a short walk from the hub.
- Blue Line straight through from Dwarka, Janakpuri, Tilak Nagar and Rajouri Garden
- Pink Line: change at Rajouri Garden
- Green Line from Punjabi Bagh and Paschim Vihar: change at Kirti Nagar
- By car via Najafgarh Road and Patel Road
Keeping it private
In close neighbourhoods people worry about being seen. The screening is done online and the report comes to you alone. Therapy can stay online for as long as you like, and the hub is an ordinary clinic in a busy market, so a visit draws no attention.
Frequently asked questions
- Can my whole family be seen together?
- Yes. The hub's psychologists offer family and couples sessions, in person at East Patel Nagar or online. Each person can also take the screening separately first, so the clinician sees everyone's side.
- My parent will not travel. What can we do?
- Start with an online consultation from home, with you sitting alongside if your parent agrees. If an in-person assessment is needed later, the hub is a short drive from most of West Delhi.
- How long is the metro ride from Rajouri Garden?
- Rajouri Garden is on the Blue Line, five stops from Patel Nagar, usually around 15 minutes. From Janakpuri it is a direct ride of about 25 minutes.
