Why start with a screening rather than a phone book?
Most people who look for help in Delhi do not know whether they need a psychologist, a psychiatrist or simply a few changes at home. Ringing clinics one after another is hard work when you already feel drained, and a wrong first appointment can put people off for years.
The Stressometer replaces that guesswork. It asks 55 questions across five parts of life, from your own temperament to home and work, and returns an Emotional Wellness Index report you can read yourself and share with a clinician. It is a screening, not a diagnosis. Its job is to get you to the right person sooner.
Psychologist or psychiatrist: who does what?
A psychologist works through talk therapy. Sessions help you see your patterns, practise CBT techniques and build ways of coping with stress, worry, grief or conflict. A psychiatrist is a medical doctor who diagnoses, checks for physical causes and prescribes medicine when it is needed.
At the hub both work under one roof, led by NWNT's founder Dr. Sandeep Vohra, MBBS, MD (Psychiatry). If your psychologist thinks a medical opinion would help, or your psychiatrist wants therapy alongside medicine, the handover happens inside the same team.
Reaching East Patel Nagar from any part of Delhi
The hub sits between Karol Bagh and Kirti Nagar, close to the centre of the city. Patel Nagar and Shadipur stations on the Blue Line are a short walk away, and the Blue Line crosses most of the other metro lines somewhere on its route, so one change is usually enough.
- East Delhi: Blue Line without a change
- North Delhi and North Campus: Yellow Line, then Blue Line at Rajiv Chowk
- South Delhi: Yellow Line via Rajiv Chowk, or Violet Line via Mandi House
- West Delhi and Dwarka: Blue Line without a change
Online, in person, or a mix of both
Delhi traffic can turn eight kilometres into an hour. Weekly therapy by video from home or office often keeps people going when a commute would make them give up. A first psychiatric assessment, a family meeting, or any time you would feel safer in a room with someone is usually better in person. Plenty of people do the first visit at the hub and the follow-ups online.
What people in Delhi come to NWNT for
Everyday stress that has stopped feeling everyday, anxiety, low mood and depression, burnout, poor sleep, anger, relationship strain, alcohol or other addictions, and exam stress in school and college students. Schools, colleges and employers in Delhi can also run the screening for their people and route those who need more to the hub.
Frequently asked questions
- Is the Stressometer enough on its own?
- For some people it is. If your report shows stress within a healthy range, it comes with preventive tips and you may need nothing more. If it shows strain or clinical signs, it recommends a psychologist or a psychiatrist, and NWNT helps you book one.
- Do I need a referral to see a psychiatrist in Delhi?
- No. You can take the screening yourself, or contact NWNT directly and describe what is going on. No doctor's letter is needed for either a psychologist or a psychiatrist.
- How do I get started?
- Take the Stressometer online, or call or WhatsApp +91 78279 90371, or write to help@nwnt.ai. The team looks at what you need and arranges a psychologist or psychiatrist at Dr. Vohra's Emotional Wellness Hub, online or in person.
