What the AI actually does
When you finish the Stressometer, the AI engine reads your answers across Human Nature, Life Circumstances, Clinical Symptoms, Domestic Life and Professional Life. It scores each dimension, combines them into your Emotional Wellness Index, picks out the stressors that stand out, and matches your overall profile to a level of care. This is triage: deciding who needs what, and how soon.
Because the engine works from a validated questionnaire rather than free conversation, its output is consistent. Two people who answer the same way get the same result, and the method behind it has been published and patented.
What the AI does not do
Much of what is sold as AI mental health care promises more than a machine should deliver. NWNT draws the line clearly.
- It is not a chatbot and does not offer therapy
- It does not diagnose any condition
- It does not prescribe or adjust medication
- It does not decide your treatment plan
- It does not replace a conversation with a trained clinician
Where people take over
Once the screen has done its job, humans take every clinical decision. In India, psychologists and psychiatrists at Dr. Vohra's Emotional Wellness Hub see you online or in person and decide, with you, what care you need. NWNT's founder, Dr. Sandeep Vohra, MBBS, MD (Psychiatry), has 30+ years of experience and chairs Digital Mental Health at the Indian Psychiatric Society. The point of the AI is to get you to the right person faster, not to stand in for them.
Your privacy
Your answers are used to produce your report and to guide you to care. When an employer or college runs a programme, it receives aggregate, anonymised reporting about the group, not your individual answers. The privacy policy explains how data is handled and stored, and the deletion page explains how to ask for your data to be removed.
Why use AI for screening at all?
Far more people need mental health support than there are clinicians to see them, in India and almost everywhere else. A validated screen powered by AI can reach thousands of people at once, at any hour, in any country, and send each one to the right level of care. Clinicians can then spend their time where it is needed most, and people with lighter needs get useful guidance without a long wait.
A telemedicine pioneer since 2011
NWNT was founded in 2011 by Dr. Sandeep Vohra and was among India's first private-sector telemedicine providers in mental health, offering online psychiatric consultation and counselling years before it became common. The Stressometer grew out of that work and received its Indian patent in October 2025. Since its founding, NWNT has touched more than 25,000 lives in 40+ countries.
Frequently asked questions
- Is my result decided by a machine?
- The screening score and the suggested care path come from the AI engine. Anything clinical after that, including diagnosis, therapy and medication, is decided by a psychologist or psychiatrist who has spoken with you.
- Can AI replace a psychiatrist?
- No. AI can screen and triage consistently and at scale. Diagnosis and treatment need a qualified clinician's judgement, and at NWNT they always get one.
- Who can see my answers?
- Your report is yours. Organisations that run programmes see only aggregate, anonymised figures. The privacy policy gives the full detail.
